How PULMICORT RESPULES Works

PULMICORT RESPULES, an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS), is a long-term controller (preventive) asthma medication that reduces the amount of inflammation that occurs in a child’s lungs, the underlying cause of asthma symptoms. In the lungs of a child with asthma, there is almost always some degree of inflammation, which makes his or her airways extra-sensitive and over-reactive to asthma triggers.

The good news is that regular use of PULMICORT RESPULES can help reduce the inflammation in your child’s lungs and improve your child’s asthma symptoms.

“A new doctor took one look at his chart and said, ‘This is asthma,’ and put him on PULMICORT RESPULES.”

PULMICORT RESPULES was designed to be delivered through a jet nebulizer, which turns the asthma medication into a fine mist that your child simply breathes in through a face mask or mouthpiece. And it delivers PULMICORT RESPULES to your child’s lungs, where it’s needed.
