Instructions for use
- Open the sealed aluminum foil envelope along the dotted line. Remove one PULMICORT RESPULES ampule from the strip of PULMICORT RESPULES ampules. Make sure you save the aluminum foil envelope until all the PULMICORT RESPULES ampules have been used. All of the PULMICORT RESPULES ampules in the opened envelope should be used within 2 weeks, so you will need to record the date you opened the envelope in the space provided on the back.
- Gently shake the PULMICORT RESPULES ampule using a circular motion.
- Hold the PULMICORT RESPULES ampule upright, and without squeezing, open it by twisting off the top.
- Place the open end of the PULMICORT RESPULES ampule into the nebulizer cup, and slowly squeeze out all of the contents. Be sure to empty all of the medicine into the nebulizer cup.
- PULMICORT RESPULES can be used with either a face mask or a mouthpiece. For best results when using a face mask, make sure it completely covers your child's nose and mouth and fits tightly so the mist does not get into the child's eyes. Use the jet nebulizer as directed. Turn on the compressor to begin nebulizing the medicine. Continue to nebulize the medicine until there is no more mist coming out of the face mask or mouthpiece. It will take about 5 to 10 minutes for your child to inhale all of the medicine.

Throw away the empty PULMICORT RESPULES ampule. Place the unopened PULMICORT RESPULES ampules back in the aluminum foil envelope before storing. This will help protect the medicine from light.
When finished, rinse your child's mouth with water. If you are using a nebulizer with a face mask, also wash your child's face. These steps will help your child avoid possible oral thrush or skin irritation.
Clean the face mask or mouthpiece and the nebulizer cup according to the instructions supplied by the manufacturer.
